Anosmia

Anosmia is abnormalities in the sense of smell in the form of reduced or loss of smell or the person's ability to detect odors caused by:
- The occurrence of disturbances in the form of nasal obstruction or blockage in the nasal gland channel
- damage to the nerve
- Injury to the head
- Due to the aging process
- Post-surgery
- Consumption of drugs
- toxic chemicals
- or because of other diseases such as chronic allergies, sinusitis, influenza or olfactory sulcus tumor.
Anosmia can occur at any age and nature in general took place while the (partial), except in a few cases where patients suffered permanent anosmia (total) mainly occur in patients who were elderly or people with a brain tumor. Anosmia can cause sufferers lose their appetite which ultimately result in weight loss, malnutrition and even depression.
